FTK-2MM Ghost Village and River Drifts
This adventurous two-day tour combines the physical challenge of a deep jungle trek with the relaxation of a river journey. Day one is for the bold: you will hike through the National Protected Forest to the abandoned village of Mock Mhoo, exploring rugged and forgotten mountain trails before resting at a remote farmstay.
Day two rewards your efforts with a change of pace. After descending to the river, you will board kayaks for a scenic 13km paddle down the Nam Khan River. You’ll drift past lush jungle, enjoy a riverside lunch, and—season permitting—cool off in the turquoise pools of the Tad Sae Waterfall.

Designed for the adventurous hiker, this two-day expedition contrasts the raw challenge of deep jungle exploration with the soaring beauty of high-altitude ridges. Day one takes you into the heart of the National Protected Forest to the abandoned “ghost village” of Mock Mhoo, ending with a rustic night at a remote mountain farmstay.
Day two rewards your physical efforts with the sweeping panoramas of the Houy Nok Phit trail. You will transition from dense canopy to open farmlands, enjoying a scenic picnic lunch high above the Nam Khan Valley. This tour offers the ultimate balance of wilderness challenge, historical intrigue, and breathtaking scenery.

FT-1MM The Mock Mhoo Trail
For the active traveler seeking true immersion, this full-day trek goes way beyond the beaten path. Start out at Tad Thong waterfall, visit remote hilltribe villages and rediscover Mock Mhoo, a ghost village abandoned over 40 years ago by its Hmong inhabitants, and now only visited by some local farmers.
Traverse a rugged, forgotten trail over high mountain ridges with views over protected jungle, hills, farms, and all the way to the Mekong. Descend through lush farmland to the Nam Khan valley.
This is a day of physical challenge, rich history, and untouched nature.

FT-1HNP The Houy Nok Phit Trail
Experience the perfect balance of culture and nature on the Houy Nok Pit Trail. This full day hike takes you from the intimacy of a remote Khmu village to the grandeur of high-mountain views.
Start out with ascending from the village of Ban Houy Thao on small jungle paths through protected forest to emerge on open farmland where you only meet farmers, buffalos and cows and can enjoy vistas of karst mountains and the distant Nam Khan valley.

HDK Kayaking the Nam Khan River
Paddle through the heart of the Nam Khan valley on this scenic river expedition. You will navigate 20 kilometers of water winding past lush jungle, rice paddies, and elephant sanctuaries, with stops to explore a golden stupa and the hidden jungle tomb of explorer Henri Mouhot. Whether you are riding the swifter currents of the rainy season or exploring exposed banks in the dry season, this trip offers a fresh perspective on the landscape and local village life from the water.

HDBF Half-day Food and Fun Tour
Eat your way through Luang Prabang on this social, flavor-packed biking circuit. Start at the morning market to sample local delicacies like bee larvae or crunchy insects before cycling to hidden peninsula temples. You will witness traditional coffee making by the Mekong, master the art of the perfect rice noodle crepe, and finish the morning playing pétanque with a cold Beerlao in hand. It is the ultimate crash course in local life, snacks, and street food culture.

KST-1 Full-day Trek to Kuang Si Waterfall
Ditch the crowded tourist vans and earn your swim by trekking to Kuang Si Waterfall. This 9-kilometer journey begins in Ban Long Lao village, a rare example of Hmong and Khmu not only living side by side, but sharing in each others traditions and culture.
Head out through rice paddies and orchards before hiking through jungle covered Lao countryside. Pass by the spring of Kuang Si before arriving at the top of the famous turquoise waterfalls.
Refresh yourself with a dip in one of the natural pools and visit the Safe the Bears visitor center.

BM4-1 The Chicken Run
Escape the tourist center and cross the Mekong for an off-road adventure through Luang Prabang’s hidden backyard. This rugged 35-kilometer circuit tackles dirt trails, rolling hills, and refreshing stream crossings. You will ride past active rice paddies and remote villages rarely visited by foreigners, eventually stopping for a local riverside lunch with a unique view of the town from across the water.
