Fairtrek – Projects

Fair Trek is an alliance between Tiger Trail, the Laos government and seven rural villages around Luang Prabang. Our purpose is to ensure that the participating villages receive direct economic benefits from the travellers who join our tours to these exclusive areas. A portion of each trekker’s fee goes into a village fund which supports schools, village infrastructure and job creation on a local level.

Since 2007 Fairtrek has worked with local communities to deliver valued projects. Because we are backed by the experienced team at Tiger Trail and many years of completing successful projects we can guarantee successful projects delivering real benefits to communities in need. So many great initiatives fail or don’t last into the long term. We bring the expertise, contacts and relationships that are needed to ensure projects deliver the benefits they promise. This is due to us being based In Laos and our expertise.
