This is a short and moderate trek that includes all the sites of a lengthier, full-day tour. After transfer by vehicle and boat, you’ll hike through stunning landscapes of jungle with a backdrop of Karst mountains, visit and eat lunch in a traditional Khmu village, and hike to the Tad Sae waterfall (can be low or dry Feb to Aug).
This is a medium circuit similar to our BM1-1 tour but with both on- and off-road sections, a few more hills, and a river crossing by boat into local villages. The tour will take you to explore famous paper and weaving villages; through rice paddies, jungle and mountain landscape; and to the Nam Khan River and Tad Sae Waterfall (seasonal). Enjoy a day of biking through the foothills of mountains surrounding Luang Prabang to see jungle, village life, nature, and waterfalls.
This is a “Fair Trek” hiking tour that takes you through the foothills of beautiful limestone mountain covered with jungle to visit local Hmong and Khmu hill tribe villages. The tour includes a scenic ride on the Nam Khan River and, during the wet season, a visit to the refreshing Tad Sae waterfall where you can swim and explore. Funds from this Fair Trek help support the local community.

The best way to see the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall is by trekking a lush forest trail that winds through local villages and offers views of Lao mountain landscapes. This three-to-four hour trek brings you to the refreshing turquoise pools at the falls where you’ll have time to cool down, swim and enjoy the Kuang Si Waterfall Nature Reserve and Bear Rescue Center.
